A process you can walk around.

SALCOS is Salzgitter's programme for low-CO₂ steelmaking with green hydrogen. At Hannover Messe it was explained on a round table: physical models on top, a built-in screen underneath playing animations that guide visitors through each step.

The table, screen content and animations were made by the exhibition team - my part was the models themselves.

From print to paint.

Each model was built in Blender with printing in mind - wall thickness, split lines and how the parts fit together later. After slicing and printing, the parts were sanded, filled and primed until no layer lines were left.

Finally they were combined with acrylic sheets and other components and finished in a clean white and silver palette with orange accents.

Built to travel.

Between trade fairs the models have to survive transport and storage. A custom case with foam inserts gives every piece its own fixed place - nothing shifts, nothing touches.

Let's talk.
