A big planet on a small screen. The teaser for a fictional 3D animated mini web series - told vertically, made for TikTok, created as our bachelor's thesis.
One outpost. One rover.
An alarm breaks the quiet of a research outpost on Mars. One crew member suits up, leaves through the airlock and heads out in the rover - into a landscape that is beautiful, empty and about to turn hostile.
Every shot was composed for a phone held upright: tall corridors, deep perspectives and a horizon that sits low in the frame.
Nine by sixteen.
Nobody around.
From sketch to frame.
The storyboard by Enes Yüksel set timing and camera for all 22 shots. From there, each sketch was built out into a full 3D scene.
Meet the rover.
Before the film, the rover was built as its own asset - modelled, textured and look-developed as a standalone piece, so it would hold up in every close-up of the teaser.
